CSI Exhibits at NASCC in New Orleans Last month, over 2200 steel industry professionals gathered in New Orleans, LA, April 18-20, for the North American Steel Construction Conference. The conference featured presentations from top industry leaders, more than 60 technical sessions, short course educational programming, and extensive trade show exhibits. Among the highlights was the keynote address, “Current Trends in Steel: A Mill Perspective,” presented by the leaders of three major domestic mills: Keith Busse of Steel Dynamics, Tommy Valenta of Chaparral Steel and John Ferriola of Nucor Corp. They provided insight into current trends and the future of the steel industry in both the U.S. and the world. The conference drew nearly 3,000 structural steel fabricators, structural engineers and designers, steel detailers, steel erectors, and educators from across the country and abroad. CSI took a prime 400 square foot exhibit space in the exhibit hall, where CSI representatives spent two and a half days visiting with customers, meeting new users, answering technical questions, and giving product demos. CSI’s multi-media exhibit featured a 42-inch LCD screen that showcased CSI software-generated animations and drawings. If you missed CSI at NASCC this year, be sure to visit us next year,
