The Fourth International Structural Engineering Seminar was hosted by CSI Caribe in Caracas, Venezuela, February 2-11, 2009. Engineers from all over Latin America attended the ten-day training which covered the concepts of concrete design, shear wall design, pushover analysis, nonlinear analysis, sequential construction, and slab and foundation design.

CSI software products, including SAP2000, ETABS, and SAFE, were featured during the conference, and participants had ample opportunity to interact with one another, share knowledge, and learn about emerging trends in international standards, design techniques, and new technologies. A special emphasis was placed on optimizing time and efficiency while minimizing cost and maximizing safety and quality in new construction projects. The conference was presented by Nelson Morrison and Eliud Hernandez of CSI Caribe. CSI Caribe has also presented seminars and trainings in Peru, Chile, Mexico, Panama, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Nicaragua, and El Salvador.
